Our Board looks for qualified applicants who have a strong commitment to education.

Teaching applications are accepted throughout the year. Applicants must be in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers. Successful candidates will be placed on our Occasional Teacher Roster. No offers of employment are made until successful screening, interview and reference checking procedures have been completed.

We have a need for and are always interested in receiving applications from candidates with French as a Second Language or French teaching qualifications.

Paper applications for teaching positions will not be considered for employment and will not be maintained on record.

Application Requirements:

To apply for any teaching position (permanent, long-term occasional or daily supply) a complete application consisting of the following nine (9) items must be received through Apply to Education. Please note that the omission of any of the nine (9) items, including the responses to the three questions listed under item nine (9) shall constitute an incomplete application and will not be considered.

  1. Cover Letter of Introduction
  2. Résumé
  3. Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification (or interim or provisional if applicable)
  4. Proof of completion of the pre-service Religious Education Course
  5. Written pastoral reference dated within one year of the date of application.
  6. Practice teaching reports (for new graduates) OR Most recent performance evaluation/reports(s) (for experienced teachers)
  7. University transcripts (for new graduates only)
  8. The names and contact information of three Professional References (Personal References will not be accepted.)
  9. Typed responses to the following three questions Responses to each question should not exceed a maximum of 100 words:

Question #1:
How do you see your role as a Catholic teacher in the community? OR
(How do you see your role as a teacher in the Catholic community?)

Question #2:
Briefly describe your personal teaching/learning beliefs.

Question #3:
What strengths and interests would you bring to the classroom and/or school and/or community to help motivate children?
