September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. A gold ribbon is the symbol for childhood cancer. We are asking the students of Holy Family to wear yellow or gold this Friday, September 15th. With 1 in 285 children being affected by childhood cancer and a child being diagnosed every 3 minutes, we want to show that they are not alone and are supported and loved by the people here at Holy Family. This is our way to kickstart our Terry Fox campaign that raises funds that go towards cancer research. We are asking students to bring in a $2 donation or more that will be donated towards this cause. We will be accepting donations starting this Friday and every day up to our Terry Fox Run on Wednesday, September 27.
