Who are we?        

A group made up of:

parents/guardians 

school staff (principal, teaching and non-teaching members) 

a community representative 

a parish representative 

What do we do? What is our role?

Live out the mission statement of Holy Family Catholic School

Provide opportunities for parents to be more involved in the education of their children

Develop annual goals for the Council and evaluate its success in achieving those goals

Provide advice to the Principal

Be a Voice for Catholic education and foster good relations among parents, staff, local community and related groups

Respond to referrals from the Board

 

What Positions are on the Council?

Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, other voting and non-voting members.

 

Meetings

The council must hold a minimum of 4 meetings per year. Each meeting lasts approximately 1 hour. 

All parents/guardians are welcome to attend and share their thoughts at meetings, but only Community Council Members can vote.

Agendas and copies of the minutes from previous meetings are made available before each meeting.
